Canadian photographer, Katherine Keates, has always sought the magic in the world. Her extensive and eclectic collection of travel, landscape, and art photography has won international recognition.
2019 Epson International Pano Awards, Bronze Medal In the Amateur Landscape and Nature category for this image: Aspen Forest in Autumn. There were 1258 photographers representing 72 countries who entered close to 5000 images.
In Katherine's words:
"The delight I take in photography combined with the beauty, curiosity, and mystery that it brings, has led me to deeply explore the art and craft of photography.
I always strive to present a unique vision and apply an artistic and emotional approach to my work."
Her unique art scarves came to life while reconnecting with a love of textiles and passion for colour. Katherine realized what her heart and her entrepreneurial spirit have been trying to tell her. One big breath, and one giant step forward, she has boldly ventured beyond the traditional. Katherine now offers her expressive photo art, Lolili Wearable Art, as luxurious fashion textiles that allow her customers to connect with their own story, passions, memories, and dreams.
Katherine and I were introduced by a mutual client. When I first created my line of knitting accessories, a scarf-loving, jewellery enthusiast friend realized that my knitting accessories and Katherine's scarves would be a match made in heaven. And I am so happy that she brought us together.
These beautiful Art Scarves come in two sizes: the square format is 140 cm x 140 cm (for us imperial people, that's 55" square), and the rectangular format is 140 cm x 190 cm (55" x 75"). Each scarf is a super-soft blend of modal and cashmere. Each photographic image is digitally printed, using the finest quality Italian cashmere lightweight blend fabric.
The lightweight, but warm, cashmere blend fabric is perfect for travel and packing. It takes up very little space, and can be worn many ways because of the generous size. The digitally printed image is not "on" the fabric, but "in" the fabric, resulting in a beautiful rendition of Katherine's stunning images. This allows for complete freedom of styling, since the photograph is the same on both sides of the scarf.
In my studio, you will find 15 different images, in both the square and rectangular formats. The images we've chosen are from all over the world, with three hailing from Canada - with Toronto, Georgian Bay and the East Coast being highlighted. The square format size scarves are $260.00 each and the rectangular format are $285.00 each.
Come visit and feel the luxuriousness of these beautiful scarves. And while you're here, try one on with one of my knitting accessories. Both the Scarf Rings and Shawl Cuffs work beautifully, and really take your accessory wardrobe to a new level.

Once again, here are the details of my Annual Studio Holiday Event:
Daily from Friday, December 9th to Friday, December 23rd
Monday - Friday: Noon - 7:00 pm
Weekends: Noon - 5:00 pm
I encourage you to book your appointment online, through my online booking calendar. Masks are appreciated, but not mandatory. I will be masked but do what you feel comfortable with.
And new for this year, I will be accepting drop-in visitors on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. This means you don't have to make an appointment before arriving, but there may be other people in my showroom at the same time.
But, if you are considering coming between Monday - Thursday, online appointments are necessary. The booked appointments help me manage my time better, in the busiest season of my year. So I would be grateful if you booked your online appointment, no matter when you are planning on coming. If you're just out and about on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, no problem to just drop around for your visit.
